This year Helen and I will have been married for 40 years and we wanted to celebrate in a special way. We both enjoy walking and cycling holidays in France. Last year we discovered a cycle route called La Velodyssee which journeys along the Atlantic coast; starting at Hendaye on the Spanish border and finishing at Roscoff in Brittany. Including a detour around Bordeaux, the route covers approximately 900 miles. Although we have never done anything remotely like this before, it seemed a great way to join in the cathedral anniversary celebration and raise money for Parish Nursing Ministries UK.
