Great North Run · 19 September 2010
Hey Everybody!
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page! In case you didn't know, I've volunteered to take part in the Great North Run as part of the 99 Sqn Team. The rest of the guys are super-fit (young!) running aces, but this is going to be really hard work for me - I've never run that far before, ever!
The 99 Sqn Team is running to support the Royal Air Forces Association because of the great work that they do, raising funds for the welfare of ex-RAF personnel, and those currently serving, their wives, widows and dependants who find themselves in need. This need is brought home far too often these days, as anyone that watched the Air Hospital documentary or the news will appreciate.
I will update this page regularly just to let you know that I am on track for a 13 1/2 mile race (I managed just 3 miles yesterday - is that enough practise?) but you better believe that I will be there and run every step of the way!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please support this old girl and RAFA, dig deep and donate now.
