Tough Mudder Yorkshire 2017 · 29 July 2017 to 30 July 2017 ·
On 9th October 2015 my life got tip turned upside down when I was in a terrible road traffic accident that killed my best friend, my dad and saw me in critical care at Sheffield Northern General.
The fast response and skill of the Notts & Lincs Air ambulance crew that attended the scene was heroic. I was caught in a terrible position, conscious and extremely disorientated. As a result of their fast work and amazing treatment, the care I needed was ready and waiting as soon as I arrived hospital.
I am raising money for the Notts & Lincs Air Ambulance because without their care and rapid taxi to the hospital my condition could have been even worse. The other and really important reason is because I met the crew that attended the scene and they are the most down to earth, modest and amazing people I have met. Every call out costs the charity approximately £2,100 and they receive over 1,000 a year so it is so important that they receive donations to keep the hero's in the sky. You never know when you may need them.
I chose Tough Mudder because what bigger challenge to complete than a 13 miles obstacle course when you haven't been able to run for a year....? It's the perfect way to show my hero's that i'm still fighting!
