Hello & thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

I am running the Great North Run on the 10th September in aid of Farplace Animal Rescue, an originally Weardale-based charity that specialises in giving more ‘challenging’ rescue animals the care & love they deserve. 

What I love most about Farplace is that unlike a lot of animal rescue centres, they take in a wide variety of wildlife including hedgehogs (which as some of you may know are very close to my ❤️ as I have previously fostered hedgehogs), owls, stoats, crows and bats! Being outside amongst the trees & sharing nature with all the gorgeous wildlife the North East has to offer is what truly makes me happiest, and I love that Farplace are looking out for these sometimes overlooked little wonders. 

The other reason I want to support Farplace is that they also take in cats who are FIV positive. Although cats with FIV can live full lives, they require more care & this is expensive which can mean that they are turned away from other shelters. As a self-confessed crazy cat lady, I love this aspect of the charity’s work.
