Last year I was given the opportunity of going to live in Bogota, Colombia and completing a 12 month voluntary placement working with young offenders with ICYE-UK. 

I had an incredible time, seeing and learning so many things and for this I will be forever grateful to the Colombians who took me under their wing and adopted me as one of their own.

I completely fell in love with the aims and ideals of ICYE. The idea isn't to change the world in one fell swoop... The idea is that by having a greater understanding of other cultures and people, and by enabling the exchange of ideas, we can all work together to improve our small, insignificant corners of this big, beautiful world.

 For this reason I am running this 10k in order to be able to further support the fantastic work they do.
