Along with some friends from the Royal College of Nursing we will be doing our best to raise funds for the RCN Foundation and the Cavell Nurses' Trust. Both charities help support nurses at times in their lives when they need financial assistance. I've been very fortunate throughout my career to have the advice and support of nursing colleagues, my family and friends. During my time as the RCN's Deputy President I want to do something to help nurses who have not had my good fortune.
