Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and for your support for me in going for the challenge that is Ironman South Africa. This event involves a 2.4 mile, (3.8km), open water swim followed by a 112m, (180km), on the bike and finally a marathon distance run of 26.2 miles, (40.1km), all to be completed before the cut off time of 17 hours.

I have  been training hard over the last few months in our delightful British weather for this event  which is perfect for the heat of South Africa and would like others to benefit from my hard work. To this end I have selected Mercy Ships UK, s a floating hospital charity which makes dreams come true for those less well off. It also  fits well with the competition I won called Dreamcatcher which is part funding my participation in this event.  You can find out more about Mercy Ships on www.mercyships.org.uk

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Mercy Ships will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
