Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

There is a good chance you have come to this page because you are a friend or relation of mine; in that case you will probably know I lost my mother Liz to cancer last year. I think the work done by charities in support of people living with cancer and their families is worth our support so I am cycling 100 miles in the Ride London 100 to try and raise some sponsorship.

My mother lived a full and varied life. Amongst other things she originally trained as a nurse and later worked as a non executive director of  a hospital. She knew a great deal about the contribution charities make to our healthcare system. I remember her always having  a good word to say about the various work charities do for people with cancer and Macmillan was foremost amongst the charities she felt did wonderful work. She was also a big fan of any kind of sport; I feel sure she would approve of me sweating a little and stretching a little to achieve something in her memory.
