Story

Last year on the 10th May (about an hour after the above picture was taken) I slipped and fell approx 15 meters. A broken neck, punctured lung and broken ribs meant I could not move. If I had not been supported and rescued by some amazing people I wouldn't be here today. I want to say thank you by raising some money for Mountain Rescue who do great work when people are really in trouble.

It's taken a good few months to get back on my feet and I'm now in a position to start training again. I want a challenge that will really stretch me and a target to work towards. This walk would be impossible for me today (January)  but I plan to put in some serious training through the spring and be ready for it by May. Although I'm sure it will be tough.

I also wanted to thank my surgeons and nurses for all the work and care they put into fixing me and 170 mile walk in 7 days seemed like a great way to show I'm really fixed and what a great job they did.

I'm walking the Hertfordshire Way in 7 days - an average 25 miles per day. I start on Sat 4th May and will finish on Friday the 10th May (one year on from my accident). I hope that some of my friends and family will be able to join me for some of the walk which is all in Hertfordshire - obviously.
