Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Many of you have generously donated in the past when I have raised money for Headway Somerset by throwing myself over a cliff edge or out of an aeroplane so this year, rather than paying for an accountant to be dropped from a great height, I have decided to give my supporters an opportunity to pay to see me buried alive.

I am hoping to keep claustrophobia at bay as I descend into the underground caves, trying not to look down as I crawl across subterranean high ledges and slip head first through the "Letterbox" without thinking about the thousands of tons of rock between me and the surface.

Sadly, unlike when I did my Sky-Dive, this time I will not be strapped to someone who knows what they’re doing...

What could possibly go wrong?

As the treasurer of Headway Somerset I know only too well the challenges that it faces financially as a result of cuts to local government funding and ever increasing competition for grants.  It gets harder every year for small charities to raise the money they need to keep delivering the services that help to improve the lives of those they support.

As ever, your kind donations will be hugely appreciated by me and by the charity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
