Roger's Calais to Carcassonne Bike Ride

Hello! On 25th May this year I will be setting off on a 1200KM bike ride to Carcassonne, south western France. I aim to complete it in eight days. It will be totally unsupported, just me and my bike.
I lost my twin brother Dave to cancer last year and I'll be riding this in his memory and to raise much needed funds for Katharine House Hospice where Dave was cared for..
On what would've been our 50th birthday this year, 2nd June, we were always planning on taking on this epic ride before Dave became ill, so I will be doing it solo as a tribute to him and hopefully raising a decent amount of money for the hospice.
Katharine House provides free hospice care services in Mid Staffordshire for people faced with an illness that cannot be cured. Their aim is to enable their patients and those close to them to live as fully as possible and make the most of the time that's left, the care Dave received made me so grateful to wonderful hospices like Katharine House.
I know times are tight financially but any donation would be hugely appreciated.
I'll be documenting my journey on Strava and Instagram that I'll update on this page nearer set off date.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
