Trekk The Rockies · 24 June 2019
I will be taking on the Challenge of trekking 100km in 10 days through the Canadian Rockies this June. I am doing this trek for two reasons.
1. I am raising funds for the USPCA a charity who works hard to prevent animal cruelty and is solely run on your generous donations. Animal cruelty is happening everyday and everytime I see this type of neglect I feel hopeless so now I feel it is my time to help the animals who unfortunately cannot fend for themselves. Animals are real victims on earth. They don't declare war, they don't have weapons, and they don't want to destroy humans, or impose religion. Their only 'crime' is that they exist.
2. This reason is quite personal to me but doing this trek I believe I am overcoming some of my fears. Over the past few years I have been battling depression which I honestly believe I have overcome but I struggle with confidence and anxiety daily. Having pushed myself over the past few months at losing 3 stone this trek will push me even further to become fit both physically and mentally.
Anyone who knows me knows how much I dislike walking never mind taking part in a 100km trek. So please donate what you can and remember every penny you donate goes towards preventing anymore suffering to defenceless animals.
I am hoping to raise £3350 in total for the Uspca by doing different types of fundraising so hoping you all can help as much as you can. I will keep you updated on the progress and thank you in advance for every penny you can spare 😊
