Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page.

This appeal is in memory of Romanie Astruc who passed away on the 18th July 2011 aged 45.  Romanie was a caring and giving human being and a wonderful wife and mother. She was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Tumours which had spread to her liver, and passed away within 6 weeks of diagnosis despite a good prognosis.

She will be greatly missed by many people as well as her close family and friends and contributions will go towards research into this relatively unknown disease.

The Quiet Cancer Therapy Appeal funds research into Neuroendocrine tumours.  The appeal supports the team at the Royal Free Hospital to improve the understanding, detection and treatment of this rare condition. Fund Number: 311.
