Birmingham remains in the grip of a homelessness epidemic with the problem far worse than in other UK cities. At Broadway Academy we teach our students the values of; Inclusivity, Integrity, Respect, Optimism, Responsibility, Appreciation and Generosity. It is important that we try to role model these values. Many of us live in a bubble in our comfortable homes with plenty to eat and drink; we often pass by the homeless and those living in poverty without giving them a second thought. I believe a measure of how civilised and developed we are as a nation is how we treat those who are marginalised, poor and homeless. I am taking part in the 'CEO Sleep Out' to raise awareness of homelessness in Birmingham and to try and make a small difference to someone's life. Please contribute in any way you feel you can.
