Virgin London Marathon 2015 · 26 April 2015 ·
Hey everyone,
Firstly let me thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and hopefully with your help I can raise an important sum of money for such an important charity.
As I'm sure many of you know, I'm currently studying at the university of Manchester and whilst leading a very much student lifestyle trying my very best to follow a strict training routine. With a number of half marathons already under my belt, I am on route to setting a very strong time. I have two main reasons for running the London marathon and I assure you this will be my first of many. My first reason for running is to carry on my Dad's (Leo Callow) tradition of running the London Marathon; Leo has ran 26 London Marathons but sadly this last year was his last London marathon as he has retired from running. Therefore it is with great pleasure I carry on his tradition and run my first ever London marathon. My second reason behind running is to help raise a substantial amount of money for an amazing cause; The Lord's Taverners is the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports charity dedicated to giving disadvantaged and disabled young people a sporting chance. This charity has achieved so much over the past 50 years and it is important that continued support is given for continued success over the next 50 years. The Link at the end of this story is for the Lord's Taverners web page should you be interested in finding out about exactly what they do and what projects/events are currently under-way.
If you fancy supporting me on my Journey any donations at all will be so appreciated and hopefully together we can really make a difference to this charity and all the people they help.
Many Thanks
Rory Callow
