UPDATE: WE DID IT! Well, Rosa did. Alice had a very good excuse for not doing it because she's having a baby! (The extreme lengths some people go to to get out of swimming 10km...). Thank you for all your donations and kind words - we're blown away and every penny spurred me on, especially when it was getting tough and the power of Jelly Babies started to wear off.

Back in March, one drunk Birch and one Birch far away thought it'd be a totally excellent idea to sign up for a 10km swim down the river Dart in Devon. 'Swimming is really easy and dreamy!' said the stupidest one, 'This'll be a piece of piss!' said the other one, who is almost as silly.

TURNS OUT 10KM IS ACTUALLY REALLY FLIPPING FAR.

Since then, Alice has done some dodgy road crossing and Rosa has taken to hunting down banana skins to slip on just so we don't have to do it. So if you reckon you could shove us a fiver to a very worthy cause that reminds us that we're bloody lucky to even fluke our way to doing this, that'd be excellent. We're doing lots of training, singing and swimming in rivers and screaming whenever we see a swan / plant / body of water (puddles have become terrifying) and generally being wallies. But we're also trying really hard and promise to post the obligatory wetsuit photos.
