I am a Clinical Academic Research Fellow and for the past 2 and a bit years I've been working on my PhD around Heart Failure. This work has raised my awareness of this illness and the need it has for more support and greater awareness. More importantly I have meet lots of inspirational people with this illness who have inspired me to do more! So I want to raise funds for Pumping Marvellous, a charity set up by someone with Heart Failure to achieve these goals. I'll be running the New forest 10 km on Sept 8th and the Brighton 10 km on April 19th.

The core activities and strategy of the Pumping Marvellous Foundation are driven by the needs of heart failure patients, carers and family communities we serve. We get to the real crux of the problems, the problems that patients tell us they have. Our communities are large and we have superb interactions with them, we run the largest Facebook page dedicated to Heart Failure globally so we fully understand the needs and challenges they face. We develop and distribute patient information to the vast majority of NHS Heart Failure Teams in the UK.

This may not seem like a huge challenge for many but for me in my third and fourth year of my PhD this is going to be massive! But it is nothing compared to the daily struggle of those with heart failure. If you can please support me.
