UPDATE!   The swim went ahead on Saturday 20th September - flat calm, perfect conditions with light winds.  I completed the swim in around 1 hour 30 mins (I don't keep a close check on times) and enjoyed myself from about half way.  Thanks for all your sponsorship and support.  

UPDATE!     The swim has been postponed due to Hurricane Bertha. The new date has been suggested for September 21st.

I agreed to swim from the Breakwater to Tinside a while ago, before our daughter received a proposal along with a diamond ring in a Kinder Egg.

  I now find myself booked in to swim 2.2 miles on Sunday 10th August - the weekend between the Hen Do and the Wedding.  I've done the swim before, but strangely that doesn't help my confidence much.
