BHF - Peru Inca Trail Trek 2014 · 15 May 2014 to 24 May 2014 ·

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

So, to keep this light hearted (excuse the pun) my family have a history of heart problems ranging from heart murmers to aneurysms. January 2014 my lovely Dad had his second valve repair and first bypass surgery. It turned out that both of his valves needed repairing, so he had the full works!  To turn this into something positive, I have picked the wildest challenge I could to raise money for this fantastic charity.

The challenge lasts 10 days, where I will climb to the summit of Machu Picchu to the ruins of the Aztec people. It will be tough, as the altitude gets up to 4,200m! I'll keep you posted with my blog on how my training goes and what my itinerary is going to be.

I am paying for the cost of the trip and all of the kit so that all of your sponsorship goes straight to BHF... So please give as much or as little as you can, and I promise to keep you updated with my progress through training and the climb itself!

Thank you in advance for all of your help and support!
