Sheffield Mencap is a local charity providing support and services to children and adults with learning disabilities. We support up to 600 people every week. We believe every person with a learning disability should be supported to reach their potential and live the life they choose.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the London Marathon on April 23rd on behalf of Sheffield Mencap to help support them in the wonderful work that they do.

Sheffield Mencap provides help and support to those with disabilities and their families throughout the city. Their vision is that all people who have a learning disability, along with their carers, feel valued, included and respected. They believe that everyone should be supported to reach their full potential and to live the life they choose, and they provide a range of services to help achieve this.

My youngest sister, Marsha, has severe disabilities and my Uncle Lee also has learning difficulties, so Sheffield Mencap is a charity that means a lot to me and my family. They have provided a great deal of invaluable help and support to us over the years, and I would be extremely grateful if you could help me in raising money for this great charity.

Thank you
