On 23rd October 2010 I will be running/jogging/walking... and possible crawling the Beachy Head Marathon!! 

This is an off-road beast of a marathon with LOTS of hills (3500 ft of ascent), including the steep ups and downs of the Seven Sisters!!  As my first marathon this is going to be quite a challenge, especially as I should add 30-40 minutes to what I would expect to do for a normal road marathon. 

I would like to fundraise for the Brain and Spine Foundation, which helps people affected by brain conditions and medical/educational professionals dealing with the effects of brain conditions.  Some of you will know this is an area close to my heart - in 2003, with no pre-existing conditions, my mum suffered a near-fatal subarachnoid haemorrhage and now lives with more recently discovered inoperable/developing brain anurysms.
