Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this page - although I know that those of you at work will do anything to avoid working.

I am planning on running the London marathon on the 13th of April and raising money for the Retinoblastoma society. This is a small charity which aims to provide support to children and the families of children affected by retinoblastoma, a form of childhood eye cancer. This is a rare cancer which can lead to visual impairment, the loss of an eye and occasionally blindness, it may even be fatal. The charity also helps fund research into the condition and aims to raise awareness, which will hopefully lead to early diagnosis and improved outcome. As many of you who know me will know I was affected by this condition myself and am now quite involved with the charity, which is why I am raising money for them now.

Please sponsor me online as it is really easy. It's the most efficient way for me to raise funds for the retinoblastoma society. If you are a UK taxpayer your donation will be increased by almost a third at no cost to you, the only time the tax man will ever give you anything back!

I am aiming to raise at least £1500 but preferably more. Both myself and my chosen charity really appreciate your donation. Any amount will make a difference but please try to give generously as the London marathon is one of the charity's main sources of income.

Thanks alot,

Rowanxx

P.s. if anyone wants to come running with me to help me train it will be most appreciated!
