Leading the way to a better quality of life for everyone severely affected by mental illness.

Story

If you've got this far then thank you so much for looking at my fundraising page and reading my story.

This September, I will be running The Great North Run, the largest half-marathon in the world. It starts in Newcastle and finishes in South Shields and anyone who knows me will know that I'm more concerned about the cold up north than I am about the running.

I am raising money for Rethink Mental Illness, a fantastic charity that provides desperately needed help and advice to those affected by mental health issues. This is something I feel very strongly about, having witnessed members of my family and close friends experience a huge variety of mental health problems. Impartial and expert advise is often what is so urgently needed, and Rethink reaches out to many thousands every year.

If my contribution can go towards helping just one person currently suffering then the 13 mile run/limp/hobble will be worth it. Thank you so much for reading this and any pounds and pennies that you can donate will be massively appreciated!
