Over 100,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Hello there!

I'm running to raise money for MS Society Scotland because my mum is one of over 100,000 people living with MS in the UK. Once diagnosed MS stays with a person for life. There is no cure and treatments are limited. The MS Society is the leading organisation providing specialist care, practical advice and support to everyone affected by MS. My mum was diagnoised over two years ago and has had to make big changes to her lifestyle. She has had to take early retirement and walking more than a short distance can be difficult . Despite this she's still the positive, daft mum she always was and I want to support her any way I can.

To give you an idea of how your support helps-£1 pays for 10 information packs to be sent out to people newly diagnoised with MS, £28 funds an hour of research and £38 runs the MS help line for half an hour.

I've run one half marathon before and in order to set mysef a serious challenge I'm aiming to bring my finish time down from 1:54 to 1:48.Every little helps and I'm grateful to every penny that goes towards this amazing charity.
