At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Leo and I took part in the Brighton Marathon last sunday to raise money for Alzheimers Society and I'd really appreciate your support.

Leo completed the marathon in 5hrs 08 and I completed the marathon in 5hrs 32 which we are both really pleased with.

Some of you know that my Grannie has been struggling with Alzeheimer's over the last few years, so to motivate us to compete the 26 and a bit miles we would like to raise money for this worthwhile charity which researches Alzheimer's and cares for people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, their families and carers.Alzheimer's affects around 417,000 people in the UK which is a progressive disease.  There is no identified single factor causing the disease and currently there is no cure.
