Story

Hi Guys!

Thanks so much for visiting our fundraising page to help support this wonderful charity.

Starting at 9am on Thursday 6th March 2013 in Festival Place, Basingstoke, we will begin our attempt to break two tandem indoor rowing records - the current 24 hour 20-29 lightweight record of 316.6km and the current endurance 20-29 lightweight record of 24 hours.

The challenge will finish at 5pm on Friday 7th at which point we would have rowed (should our knees and backs hold!) for a total of 32 hours and set two new world records. Every penny raised through this page will be donated to The Ark Cancer Centre Charity, a fantastic organisation raising funds to build a state of the art cancer centre thath will improve the experience of the thousands of local people living with cancer. We will also be collecting money throughout the challenge for Basingstoke charity The Pink Place who provide a range of complimentary therapies for those undergoing treatment for cancer.

Please donate however much or little you can - every penny really does help this wonderful charity.

Thank you so much for your time and support,

Dave and Mike x
