From early age, I aspire jumping in the emptiness, flying in the sky and feel real freedom, far away from the violence the adult world had to offer.

My fight as a little girl in this crazy world diverted me from this personal fantasy for more than 35 years, having other priorities to deal with. Somehow, I buried this part of me.

It is only recently that the opportunity to make the big jump knocked at my door, and this time, there should be nothing stopping me (except bad weather).

On the 20th of September 2019, I will finally achieve my childhood dream and JUMP with 4 other colleagues !

Today, I'm lucky to be an educated modern women, passionate about her work, and most importantly surrounded by a loving family. Although the journey has not been easy, no doubt in my mind I'm a privileged one.

I could not have achieved anything without exposure to culture, science, democracy and strong human values, guided by few caring individuals who imprinted my life forever, helping me grow and teaching me how to make the right decisions in the course of my life. Truth is, most of them were strong female role models. I am eternally thankful to them.

Sadly 1 in 3 women may still suffer from abuse and violence in her lifetime.

Violence against women is perhaps the most shameful human rights violation, and it is perhaps the most pervasive. It knows no boundaries of geography, culture or wealth. As long as it continues, we cannot claim to be making real progress towards equality, development and peace. (Kofi Annan)

To give back to young girls and women facing hardship each day and remind them one should never give up hopes and dreams, I've decided to combine this personal experience with raising funds for the Happy Child work in Recife, Brazil.

Happy Child International's Girls & Babies Project rescues, cares for and provides a safe environment for young girls & their babies. These young teenagers are being sexually exploited on the streets in Brazil resulting in pregnancies as young as 12 years old.
