I have recently become a carer for elderly and vulnerable individuals within my community.  I have developed a relationship with a local care unit -  Hoylake Cottage Hospital (Sandhills Care Unit).  Within my role as a carer I often transport individuals to Sandhills Care Unit for services  they offer to dementia patients to give their families respite.

Recently they have been awarded a grant to create a dementia shopping village within the setting.  To help those living with this condition to  remember their younger years.  However, they need further funds to carry out this new project.  As a keen cyclist I have decided to cycle 140 miles coast to coast from the Lake District to Newcastle upon Tyne as part of a group.  Please support me and this worthwhile cause helping people with dementia.
