Story
My name is a Ruby and this is my best friend Callie. We wanted to do something to raise money, raise awareness & show our respect to anyone fighting cancer.
We are both doing this for our family members such as Callie’s cousin and my Mum who both have/had cancer.
We are going to have some hair shaved off in the school holidays because my Mum has got cancer now and on her next chemo she is going to start losing her hair. We are doing this to show our love & support.

We are also doing a bake sale on Saturday 23rd June at Cliffe Woods social club with our other best friends Summer, Ellie & Charlotte. Come down and see us and don’t forget to log onto our site where we will be sharing photos of the day.

From a very proud mum
I was diagnosed with cervical cancer on the 6th of November 2017 at the age of 43. I received chemo & radiotherapy which targeted the cancer but unfortunately I’m now facing my second fight as it’s spread. You have some pretty dark days when fighting cancer so when the girls came to me and told me they wanted to do this it was like a shinning light.
The support of my family & friends makes the fight worthwhile.
