Tough Mudder South West 2016 · 20 August 2016 ·

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Yes - we are doing it again (again)! Some of my lovely friends and family have decided to give up their time again to run ToughMudder for Parkinson's UK.

We are a rag-tag team of 12 who decided to put ourselves through the challenge of Tough Mudder, a 12 mile assault course like no other.

Most of you visiting this page will know Ben and the devastating news that he received three years ago, being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at 33.

Ben hates to be the centre of attention and raising money 'in his name' is something he's not particularly comfortable with, however he knows that the only way Parkinson's is going to be cured is by raising money, so please help us to do this.

We'll be updating you through facebook in the weeks up to the event, highlighting what it's like to have Parkinson's, how it affects Ben and the family, what it means for his future and what you money can do to help.

Parkinson's UK have provided Ben and Gemma with a great place for support in these early days, through specially funded support workers and they will continue to support through the coming years of this debilitating and incurable condition.  Please help us to help them continue to provide that support and try to find a cure.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page and please support the craziness!
