Story

Due to the recent Covid - 19 pandemic the Weymouth Half has been moved to September 6th. We will keep this page open and continue to raise money for Dorset Mind until September 30th.

We would like to thank everyone for their kind and generous donations to help us over achieve our original £1000 target in memory of Ben.

In October 2018 our friend Ben Porteous tragically decided to take his own life. This event came as a huge and unexpected shock to everyone who knew Ben, including his close friends, who had no idea that he was struggling mentally.

We will be running Weymouth Half Marathon as a group to raise money for Dorset Mind in memory of Ben.

The runners are; Jonathan Lush, Jake Sorbie, Sam Mudge, Nathan Aston, Alex Moorhouse, Adam Luckhurst, Dean O'Callaghan, Liam Green and Lewis Humphreys.

We hope that other people who may be experiencing a tough moment in their lives can get the help and support that they need so they do not have to suffer alone.

Dorset Mind is a pioneering mental health charity that educates, challenges stigma and inequality and promotes recovery from mental ill health.

Thank you for your support and kind donation to this worthy cause!
