They can then compete in marathons, triathlons, tennis, athletics, skiing, rugby, basketball etc. With your help, many could become Paralympic champions and world record holders.

Story

Post-race

Happy days!! The race went really well. I felt good throughout which was a surprise and a complete difference to New York, where I struggled after half way.

The event was good, good crowd, and support, especially the guys with the water sprays/showers, that was definitely needed it was around 24 degrees.

I've recovered well, though climbing the steps up & down in the Arc de Triomphe after the race probably isn't my best idea ever. Nor is the fact that my next marathon is in 11 weeks from Paris (so only 10 weeks to go now at the time of writing!).

Thanks to everyone for your kind donations. xx

Pre-race

I'm laughing as I write this, and I'm sure many of you are as well. I always said I am only running 1 marathon, that was New York, last year. Yet, here I am, and Paris 2011 is in less than 2 weeks.

As you can imagine, training over the winter hasn't been a joy, but I stayed injury free :-) (albeit the physio treatment for last year's knee injury).

I'm running again for Get Kids Going, they are a fantastic team and are supporting so many great kids. Please support them and in doing so give me the added incentive to hit those Paris streets.

I will try to get some photos this time (keep an eye on fb), and I am debating taking my camera on route. So many did whilst running New York, and I wish I had. But I have the memories of an amazing experience, and here's to another!

Thank you

Rundeep

The blurb, once again...thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
