Richmond RUNFEST Marathon 2019 · 15 September 2019 ·
Taylin (Terri’s daughter) was diagnosed with wilm’s tumour at just 20 months old. After major surgery to remove the tumour and her left kidney and three months of chemotherapy she was given the all clear. Now five years and many, many scans, scares, appointments and fears later, Taylin has been moved from being an oncology patient to after care. It seemed like an apt time to take on a big challenge seeing as Taylin has overcome so many in her short life. No parent should have to hear that their child has cancer and no child should have their lives cut short due to this dreadful disease.
Terri and Raymond are running the marathon as part of the Richmond Runfest and hoping to raise £300 for Children with Cancer Uk. Marking nearly five years of fundraising by Taylin’s family and friends who have raised over £15000 to date for cancer charities.
At Children with Cancer UK we actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together. Our vision is a world where every child diagnosed with cancer gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell.
