The North Norfolk Half Marathon · 13 May 2012

We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

Thank you for spending the time to visit my just giving page.

Last December I thought I should start getting fitter for the new year and give up smoking and cut down my drinking. One night in December I was in the pub with a few friends and they told me about the North Norfolk half Marathron was taking place, so being competitive person I am, I signed up. This run will be taking place on Sunday 13th May from Holkham Hall in Norfolk and will be just over 13 miles, I running it for the Great Ormond street Hospital Childrens Charity based in London.

I did the London Marathron in 2001 in 4hours 19 minutes and I am planning on running the half in two hours or a little over, I am not as fit as I was then but I am always up for a challenge and will give it may best.

Your donation, like many others will make a huge diffence to the Hospital and what it provides for the comfort and well being of the patients and childrens parents. Donations will go towards a new play area, reclining chairs for parents or go towards a neurosciences.Aswell bedrooms with funiture and equipment, making a huge difference for the patients.

If you could help donate something as little as £5.00 that would be a great help and much appreciated by the Hospital and of course all the patients. Do try and give generously please as no doubt I will be in pain running it. Many Thanks, Rupert Coke
