London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I appreciate that many of you kindly donated towards my 2017 London Marathon effort so am extremely grateful that you are considering doing so again.

Johnny Gordon, who finally succumbed to pancreatic cancer in December, was a huge character loved by many and a wonderful friend to our family.  I'm hoping to raise as much as possible in his memory to fight this cruel and aggressive disease.

At 42 a large part of the battle is staying injury free but you'll be pleased to know I'm working hard on the training (including some high altitude sessions in December in Kenya!) and will double my donation if I don't beat my 2017 time of 3:13.

With many thanks again,

Rupert
