In 2014 Rosa's brother, Fernando, received end-of-life care at St Columba's Hospice in Edinburgh. Over a period of four weeks we were extremely impressed by the care and compassion he received from the nurses and doctors there and the support that was provided to family and friends. 

It is a wonderful facility but is very much dependent on donations to cover its annual running costs of around £8 million. So when Roberta suggested that we enter Team Bisset (Russell, Roberta and David) in the Celtic Challenge 2017 we jumped at the opportunity. In May we will cycle 200 miles in four days from Edinburgh to Iona and are seeking sponsors to help achieve our target of £3,600. 

We plan to raise some of this through raffles and a Race/Quiz Night at Prestonfield Golf Club on 31 March which we invite you to attend; details to follow. Meantime we've been given a training schedule to ensure we reach the finish line; over the next four months we'll give you updates on this and sponsorship collections and ultimately the event itself.
