Last year I took part in the Great East Swim and managed to raise about £600 for my Scout & Guide Group. I have decided to do it again this year but for NCT this time around. i need to get in some serious training befor the swim because I am not as fit as I was last year. Also last year's swim was in September when the water had had the sun on it all summer; this year it will be in June and I think it will be much colder... a proper triathlon wetsuit may be in order rather than my shorite.

Last year I did it in just under 45 minutes (the fast swimmers do it in about 20) I'm not sure what will happen this time, depends how fit i manage to get between now (March) and June.
