Ruth Elizabeth Appleton, aged 34 years, passed away suddenly on Sunday 26th June 2022 at York Hospital.
Precious and loving daughter of John and Kath, much loved sister of Mary and brother-in-law Rich, special Auntie to James and Joseph. Cherished niece of Liz, Barry, Joan and Chris. Ruth was a friend to so many.
Ruth spent 15 very happy years at CASE, where all staff gave her the love, care and support she needed to flourish - and to take steps towards her semi-independent life, which she began in January this year in Pocklington.
CASE was also a huge support to Ruth and the whole family during two years of Covid, providing calls, Zoom activities and wellbeing check-ins throughout. We are hugely grateful for the opportunities, time and dedication they gave to Ruth.
