Story
Hello!
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. So, once was not enough for this crazy Freckle and I am returning to run the London Marathon for a second time. The whole experience is proving far more nerve-racking and harder this time round, as I now know what to expect in both training and on the day itself. It fills me with fear. It still remains a huge challenge both physically and mentally, however I’ve done it once, and I’m even more determined to succeed again.
Running for another cancer charity makes the tough training slog through the winter so worthwhile for me. The Cancer Research Fund UK carries out extremely valuable research into cancer prevention and survival. Research that is so key as we work to eliminate this cruel disease once and for all.
I run in memory of my beautiful Mum, other relatives and family friends, but also in honour of my very special Uncle.
If you’re able to help support me on this rollercoaster of a journey to get me to the finish line on 22nd April 2018, I will be so very grateful. Your support helps me more than you know, especially on the long weekend runs when I am wondering why the heck I’m putting myself through this again!
Thank you so much, lots of love Ruth xxx
