Ruth's Midlife Challenge!

As I enter my 45th year and now well and truly middle aged, I vowed that I would set myself some real physical challenges for this year and on the way raise some money for charity.
I have chosen Mary Stevens Hospice as my charity. Mary Stevens have supported so many friends and family of mine over the years at an extremely difficult and painful time of their lives.
When both my Dad and a friend of mine were in the last stages of life, Mary Stevens were top class, nothing was too much. The care that we all recieved was the best, no problem was too small, everyones needs were catered for, with ulitimate professionalism and dignity.
So in order to ensure that hospices like Mary Stevens continue to be able to offer such care, we must support them by raising funds, afterall we as never know when we might need them and believe you me, that when you do, you will only want the best.
So what am I going to do!
Here goes...
I kick off on 16th March with a 10K run in the Wyre Forest
27th April- Wolf Run, a team of 5 of us run a 10K obstacle course ( looks scarey!)
16th August- Birmingham 5K Colour Run
The biggy!
4th-7th September- London to Paris Cycle Ride!!!
And maybe ( if im still standing) Birmingham half marathon in October
So for me this is a huge challenge, 3 children and a working mum means that the whole family will have to make sacrifices in order to allow me to train as well as compete, but my hubby and girls are behind me and have been completely supportive but do think I am bonkers!
I am hoping to organise a fun charity night too to help with the fundraising and more details will follow. I am aiming to raise £2000 but would love to exceed that, so anything would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks for taking the time to read my story xx
