Story
In 2007 as you probably all know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer - and thanks to the care of lots of people I'm still here to tell the tale. The Bracken Trust was one of the groups which helped me. It is a small charity in Landrindod Wells which gives counselling and therapy specifically aimed at cancer patients. I found it invaluable - and still do. It is run by committed and compassionate professionals and volunteers and they offer many useful and beneficial different sorts of treatments, both during your illness and afterwards.
This bike ride on October 15th - albeit a small achievement by most peoples' standards (40km) - is my way of saying thankyou to the Bracken Trust for all their help. I do hope you will support me - my target is small, so you don't have to give much, but every little helps. I know lots of you run marathons and climb mountains, but I still struggle to cycle the quarter mile into town, so this will be a BIG thing for me! Training has started ...
