We run a network of Bereavement Support Groups here in Oxfordshire called Late Spring. The purpose of these groups is to provide a safe and welcoming space where those who have been bereaved can come together and find support.

In facilitated groups those that attend feel able to "look to the future...without forgetting". They meet new people and offer an opportunity to remember that in the midst of the pain there is still "life to live"

We receive no regular funding to support this work, relying each year on our fundraising efforts in order for these groups to continue to be offered free for all those that attend. So, this summer we are walking further than we have ever done before to raise much needed funds to support this ongoing work.

This 25km walk will really challenge us!...we all admit (and many of you will know) that we are very good at chatting with people and encouraging others to be more active but we also know that we could be a little (or for some of us a lot) more active ourselves!...so what better way to start being more active by spending a day walking, together with friends, for a cause that means so much.
