Kilimanjaro or Borneo 2021/22??

Nepal Trek 2020 for Liverpool Hospice · 17 January 2020 to 25 January 2020 ·
I’m not sure when the next adventure will be, not even sure what to do, what I do know is that I want to continue to help raise funds for Marie Curie to say thank you for all they did for mum. It is nearly 3 years since mum died, the pain, sadness & aching has not lessened, I miss her so very much.
She would be proud & pleased how the family have stayed close & united. She would be so happy the family continues to grow & that in the main everyone’s doing good.
I know she would have loved to hear all about Nepal, I did it for mum & I wish I could have shared the stories, we would have enjoyed that together. I think she would be impressed I got myself in a place physically & mentally to do it and would be encouraging me to do more..... so
Kilimanjaro - I get to climb the worlds tallest free standing mountain at 5895m, would be very physically challenging vs Borneo - being in the humid jungle with all the creepy crawlies etc, would be challenging my phobias.
So in January I’m off trekking Nepal with Marie Curie in memory of my lovely mum. We were so fortunate that Marie Curie Liverpool found us, they called & offered Mum support. The care the team in the hospice gave my mum was outstanding. We were able to spend the precious time we had in mum's last days, sat with her reminiscing about when we were younger, holidays... fun family times.
I want to give back, say thank you & help the hospice continue it’s valuable work. In this challenge I will remember mum & raise much needed funds to make sure others with terminal illnesses & their loved ones get the most from the time they have left 💛
I’ve been on a mission to get fit so I enjoy the experience & actually see the sights of Nepal not just the floor! I’m not really a fan of walking & have an inability to travel light, oh ... and I can’t remember the last time I slept in a tent! So it will be interesting, I’ll be sure to keep you all updated.
It costs Marie Curie £6,778 after NHS contributions have been taken into account to run the Liverpool hospice PER DAY.
Minimum fundraising for this trek is £3,450, in essence paying for 1/2 a day. All monies donated will go directly to Marie Curie Liverpool. I am funding the cost of the trip.
Marie Curie can only continue to provide the care & support they do with our help and donations.
Thankyou so much 💛❤️💛
