We support Nepali people and communities to free Nepal from poverty and suffering
Story
My name is Ruth Culliford and I am 89 years old.
I was recently inspired by a friend who did a 100km challange in April to help people in different parts of the world suffering from the effects of climate change.
I have been a supporter of International Nepal Fellowship for many years with family members having worked out in Nepal on their behalf. I am very aware of the many difficulties the country is facing as a result of climate change and a devastating earthquake in 2015. I was particularly moved by a story about Prem whose village was destroyed by a landslide, in a few minutes he's lost everything, crops, home etc- "there was nothing left" . It also killed his mother. So I've decided to complete my own challange to raise funds to help the people of Nepal.
I am going to walk two miles everyday for 15 days from the end May and I would very much welcome your support and sponsorship to help these people protect themselves from the ravages of climate change.
Our vision is to see life in all its fullness for Nepal's poor and disadvantaged people and communities.
We do this by supporting local Nepali communities and healthcare services, to improve health, reduce poverty and promote social inclusion.
Love, compassion, inclusion and dignity matter to us.
