Story
This May I'll be running the Tough Mudder Half to raise money for our HTB Internship Mission Trip to Uganda. I'm joining a team of interns and staff as we take on a gruelling 5 mile run, complete with 13 teamwork-filled obstacles, and get covered in a lot of mud!
I will be part of a team of 16 interns and staff who are going to Uganda for 10 days in June to support the ongoing work of JENGA Community Development Outreach, a Christian non-profit charity based in Uganda, East Africa. JENGA exist to improve the quality of life of the vulnerable and disadvantaged in the poorest communities, demonstrating the love of God in both words and actions through sustainable community development.
Whilst on the trip we will be joining the team at JENGA in their day to day projects in Mbale. These projects are wide-ranging and diverse, from supplying entire villages with clean water and providing vocational training for vulnerable single mothers to training farmers in growing coffee and running Alpha in prisons. Whilst on the trip the team will also be visiting local hospitals, speaking at churches, and training young Christian leaders.
We hope that we will be able to impact the lives of those we meet. For us, as a team, it is going to be a life changing experience and we'd love your help in fundraising towards our collective target of £17,000. Your support, however big or small, is invaluable as we serve JENGA in their mission to bring real, lasting change. Thank you!
