On the 26th of September, my aunt Violet, my cousin TJ and I will be setting out to walk 42km through London while most (more sane) people sleep. 

We are walking in memory of our loved family members that we have lost to cancer in the past few years.

Losing my young, wonderful and zest filled mother to this disease showed me that cancer does not discriminate. It is not a respector of age, gender or race...it can happen to any of us.

I look forward to the day when a cancer diagnosis need not mean that a daughter has to live the rest of her life without her mother.
