PARC (Essex) provides play & recreational facilities for children and young adults with additional needs. At PARC we believe, every child has a right to play, regardless of their individual needs. PARC is a place where children can develop, learn and have fun, in a safe and friendly environment.

Story

Hello

2010 is the year I will be running in the London Marathon. With thousands of others, I will run 26 miles and 385 yards around one of the greatest cities in the world - being bias is of course the page creators prerogative...

Its my first attempt, (and before training has become a burden and the ‘on the day’ nerves don’t actually kick in until..well hopefully ‘on the day’) I am extremely excited, looking forward to the challenge itself and the chance to raise money for a very worthy cause.

The charity I will be running for is PARC Essex (you can take the lad out of Essex, but not the willingness to support Essex out of him!). Based in Great Notley country park, near Braintree, Essex. Parc offers services that covers a wide range of activities with children of every age and ability, including pre-school services, activities clubs, youth clubs, sports clubs and weekend and holiday respite. Above all Parc is a place where Children can develop, learn and have fun, in a safe and friendly environment that caters for their special needs.

They have just opened a new facility, its perfect for the services and support they need to provide.

Thank you for sparing a few minutes to read this for me.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Parc (Essex) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
