At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Postponed until May 2021 - but I'll still be taking on this challenge!

Last year I hiked 26 miles around London to raise money and support the work that Alzheimer's Society do in helping those affected by the disease and this coming year I've decided to go one step further - trek 100km (62 odd miles) from London to Brighton in 24 hours.

My granddad, Nibs, was diagnosed with vascular dementia a few years ago and since my family and I have had to see a person we all admire and love slowly deteriorate.

100km in 24 hours won't be a walk in the park but hopefully by pushing my body to its limit I'll help raise vital funds to find a cure to this horrible disease and maybe make Nibs smile again when I bring home a medal for him to wear at the end of the it.

Any donations you can give will make a huge impact and I would be extremely grateful for the support.

Thank you!
