Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity bringing individuals, families and professionals together to beat muscle-wasting conditions.

Story

On Sunday the 19th of May I am running the Great Manchester 10k Run in memory of my two uncles, Andrew and Chip Hughes. They were both life long fighters of muscular dystrophy, a hereditary disorder that causes the muscles to weaken and waste away. Both Andrew and Chip were told they wouldn’t see their 20’s but both fought on into their 50’s!! They had the kindest of hearts and were the most selfless people you could of met and those who did meet them knew this. They were both strong believers in fighting for their rights and always put up a fight, right up until there last few days together in November. So this year I will be running my first ever 10K in their memory for Muscular Dystrophy UK.
