Andy was a consultant Anaesthetist at Wythenshawe hospital who sadly died on June 6 2019. As well as being a colleague he will be fondly remembered as a close friend and a gentle giant . He was an extremely dedicated  , hard working and much loved member of the anaesthetic department.. He had a reputation for providing exemplary care to the patients and relatives he looked after and was always the first to help out and support all his colleagues.. His family have asked for donations in Andy’s  memory be made to the Lifebox UK charity which provides equipment and training  for surgical teams in low resource countries and aims to improve patient safety. Andy dedicated much of his life to caring for others and it is a charity he would be very proud to support .
